There are internal Problems with Islam in Kazan, as radicals vie with nominal Muslims for control and popularity. At the moment the radicals are the minority, but they are growing in influence, which is troubling, since the model they follow, that of the prophet Muhammad, is a 7th century model, practiced in the Arabian peninsula, and thus not relevant for today.

In contrast, it is the radicals who are growing in Christianity, and are now the majority in many countries, which is not troubling, as radical Christianity, modeled on Jesus Christ, is not only relevant for today, but is one of the only vehicles and paradigms which can bring about the peace which the world so much needs and desires.
